Lady Chi,alongside these phenomenal musicians, has performed in notable clubs in NYC, NOLA, Dallas and LA, Outside Lands and the Long Beach Funk Fest.

Her repertoire is a mix of her own original compositions as well as well-known favorites. She sings with a glisten in her eye and a smile from her heart from a full 4+ Octave range with a bright, rich tone all the way up into her "whistle" notes. Her influences range from classic vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Teena Marie, and Minnie Ripperton, instrumentalists like Dizzy Gallespie, P-Funk, and Donald Byrd to modern innovators like Esperanza Spaulding,Erykah Badu and Dam-Funk creating a sound that is jazz with a foundation in funk.

Lady Chi’s interest in music was nurtured from a young age by both her mother Erica Azim, a world-reknown Mbira player, and her older sister Nyaradzo Kundidzora a phenomenal Jazz vocalist in her own right. Her early musical interest led her to diverse vocal studies ranging from jazz standards and Accapella to classical music and opera. After a chance meeting with Parliment/Funkadelic, her path was clear. Combining her jazz roots, her rhythmic scatting, and uncut funk, she is pioneering a fresh sound for jazz and funk fans alike.

Lady Chi is known as the Princess of Funk and has garnered a large following with her collaborations over the years. As she embarks on her debut solo career, there is only one question.....Y'all ready???
